Am seriously considering signing up for Marvel Online.

$100 for the year and you have access to comics from the past.

Not sure if any are not available, but I found all the ones I searched for, so
worth the try.

Would buy, but at $3.50 a book, x 15 series a month, Ill be saving in the long run.

Plus I wont be adding to my 9 box collection in the basement.

I stopped collecting in the late 80s, then got back in mid 90s.
SO MANY more titles, and more created every month, very discouraging to
try to read all the cross book stories to get the full picture for some of the
story lines, plus expensive.

So this seems like a nice compromise for me.

Any thoughts?

Did you ever do this? It does sound like a cool compromise. Too much for me to spend, but it would be cool to be able to peruse their whole back catalog.

I did. No Conan, must be too racy.
I have found that they don't have everything,
But u wouldn't know that from seeing the list of available titles.
There are a Lot of comics here. I'll just read a couple while family watching tv or doing homework.

It's cool to search events that happened and when they say continued in another comic, just look that issue up and read. Get the whole storyline that I couldn't afford at the time by having to buy them.

Also cool to look up the history of events I read about or team formations, changes, enemy origins, etc.

Do they even have obscure stuff like The Invaders?

Yep. I'll have to show it to u ony phone next time

They have pretty much every single title they've published except conan. Every once In a while they are missing a book or several, but only on the less popular titles. Iron man, hulk, thor, xmen, they have all of them.

Dr. Strange they don't have all, but maybe that will change after the movie comes out.

I always thought Doctor Strange was an odd title for them. Sort of like Ghost Rider, the obvious Satanic themes would seem to be a little too risky for them.

They have the whole Groo catalog then?

As for Conan, I wonder if they have different licensing with that title since they didn't create the character.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/stan-lee-media-loses-appeal-650083

Apparently Stan Lee lost conan rights in 2012 to bankruptcy and failed to win his appeal in w013.

No groo. Sad
