Team Fortress 2 for Battlefield 1942 (this is what it looks like)

Check it out and sign up for the Beta. Me and Chin did already.

Have to register before you can sign up for Beta.

Supposedly the game will be free.

Have you been accepted for the Beta yet? I haven't heard anything in a long time.

It says it will send me a beta key when one becomes available.

Signing up wasn't such a problem. Over the years I've registered with so many games mailing lists that I just put my address in and ask them to remind me what my password is.

It's an intriguing setup they have. It's free to play but it seems they'll make money by having people pay for special outfits. Sort of like with Spore where I could play the demo and make creatures but you need to buy the actual game to get more pieces. I've been playing several flash games for years where it costs nothing but you can donate to get extra stuff.

My username is Randallw if you want to make a friends invite, which I don't even know how to do yet. It appears to say if friends are available.

I've started two games but I don't last long before I get kicked for having high pings. I need to find out how to get a server that takes Australians.

Well, shoot! I guess I have had an account all this time and never got an email. Once I was able to reset my password (took two tries as they never emailed the first, and I did check my spam folder) I was able to get it. I haven't downloaded yet, but my in-game name is [DLM]->TheChin!

It seems you can only choose friends from games you play, and I can't even get into any games now, let alone eventually get kicked for having high ping.

Actually, I'm just VileTasteOfDeath, that other was my EA Games screen name. BFH won't let you use anything but letters & numbers, so much for clan tags.

EDIT: I couldn't use TheChin either for some reason, so the above is correct now.

So I played for a little while last night. The speed of running definitely encourages vehcile use to get to flag area's. The graphics are kind of cool, but they take some getting used to, especially if you are used to things like MoH, DoD and CoD. It is very cartoony WWII.

So, I got to play that first night with no problems. Then, the next time I tried I got an auto patch and the game has run like total crap ever since. The lag is horrble, worse than multiplayer Descent 2

I tried to play last night, patched, and couldn't even connect.
